Large-block concrete retaining walls with a natural stone face, from excavation and drainage to the final course.
A retaining wall holds back a slope, levels a yard, creates a parking pad or opens up usable space beside the house. We build large interlocking concrete blocks with a natural stone face, so the finished wall looks good as well as doing its job.
Every wall starts with excavation. We dig out and level the base, compact it, and set the first row of blocks dead level. Drain rock and perforated pipe go in behind the wall so water has somewhere to go. Then the heavy blocks are stacked and backfilled course by course, and the grade above is compacted and finished.
Because the same crew does the digging and the building, you deal with one team from start to finish.
Walls vary a lot with the slope, the soil and how much weight they carry. Ask for a free estimate and we will look at the site. The photos below show the build process.
